In short
What we collect
Two things, and nothing else:
- Anonymous usage analytics — pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, referring site, and how you move between pages. This is collected by Google Analytics 4 and is not linked to a name or account.
- Anything you send us — if you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, and message so we can reply. We only use it to respond to you or to act on a correction you report.
What we do not collect
We do not run advertising networks, retargeting pixels, affiliate tracking links, or third-party marketing trackers. We do not have user accounts, logins, shopping carts, or payment processing, so we never see passwords or payment details. We do not buy, sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Cookies and similar technologies
Google Analytics 4 sets cookies to distinguish one visit from another and to measure whether a session is engaged. These are analytics cookies, not advertising cookies. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on, and the site will continue to work normally. We set no cookies of our own.
Who processes data on our behalf
We keep the list of third parties deliberately short. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job:
- Vercel — hosts the site and processes standard server request logs, including IP address, as part of delivering pages.
- Google Analytics 4 — measures anonymous site usage as described above.
- Forward Email — delivers messages sent through the contact form to our editorial inbox.
- Google Fonts — serves the two typefaces used by the site; requesting a font exposes your IP address to Google.
How long we keep things
Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics. Email you send us is kept in our editorial inbox for as long as needed to answer you and to maintain a record of corrections to the guide, and is deleted on request.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@medspaequipmentguide.com and we will act on the request. Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights — we will honour a valid request regardless of where you are, because the amount of data involved is small enough that there is no reason not to.
To opt out of analytics entirely, block analytics cookies in your browser or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Children
This is a business-to-business trade guide written for med-spa owners, estheticians, and clinicians. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Links to other sites
The guide links out to supplier websites and to primary sources that support the facts we publish. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we have no control over what they collect. Reading their policies before you buy or submit anything is worth the two minutes.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect changes, this page changes with it, and the reviewed date above moves. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
